Income Inequality

I just attended the webinar Finding and Explaining Bread Mold on a Yak by John Stapleton. I haven't written up my learnings yet but I wanted to let you know about this essay John wrote for the Broadbent Institute.

A Ball Player, a Cop, a Janitor, and a Welfare Recipient

In the webinar he spoke about how to talk about good ideas to policy-makers and the general public in a way that they can understand and value the idea. He visits and expands on this theme in the article. How do ideas about income inequality become mainstream? What are the frameworks through which we are able to determine what inequality is?
